Trapped is a

Total
knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a commonly performed surgical
procedure whereby knee joint surfaces are replaced with
metal and polyethelene components that serve to function
in the way that bone and cartilage previously had. Here
we describe a serious game that was designed to train
orthopedic surgical procedures to orthopedic surgical
residents, and to gauge whether learning in an online
serious gaming environment will enhance complex surgical
skill acquisition. |

The Lotus
game is a simple game to play, whose rules are given in
Lotus Rules.pdf.It can
also be quite tactical when played by
experienced player!. This game can be played for 2 to 4
players including up to 2 NPCs. To play, a player or NPC
specifies a source tile’s number and a destination
tile’s number. A move consists in taking the piece on the
top of the stack located at the source and moving it to
the top of the stack located at the destination. The AI
system verifies that the input move is a valid one for
the player currently playing ( e.g., in a 2 player game,
the white player may not move a top of stack that is
black, UNLESS all the white player’s pieces are below a
black piece). It must be possible for a player/NPC with
no top-of-stack piece to skip his/her turn. |

The main
goal of this project was to make a serious game for
faculty of Health and science. The game allows Nursing
students to apply learned concepts of nurse clinician
when treating virtual patients and while engaging in
simulation-based education. The use of such simulation
in undergraduate nursing education allows learners to
readily apply skills and knowledge within a safe
learning environment.
