KNEE
SIMULATION SURGERY
Project
Review:
The “Orthopedic Knee Surgery” serious game is created
for Mount Sinai Hospital for use in training orthopedic
knee surgeons. The purpose of the “Orthopedic Knee
Surgery” serious game is to train students learning
about orthopedic surgery in the steps required to
perform knee replacement. The main goal of this project
is to test the effectiveness of a surgical simulation,
seeing if it would be useful for other procedures in the
future. Team Size:
2 People.
Task and Responsibilities:
I
worked as a Lead Designer, Lighting & Shading, Texture
Artist, 2D/3D Modeler. All the assets are made from
scratch except the surgeons. The surgeon's characters are
not my work and we had to purchase them due the time
limitation we had at them.
Game Engine and Programming:
The game uses Gadget3D which was developed by my partner
Brent
Cowan
and he is responsible for all the coding and design in
this project.
